Georgia:

“It has been an extremely hard year, and I know that many people in the Forest Row and Groombridge division are struggling to make ends meet, or have suffered from losing someone in their family, or are finding isolation mentally challenging. I am struck by how important it is now for us to connect with each other, to see our loved ones in person, to grieve together and to celebrate community. I will make sure our County Council supports this.

I will listen to the issues that you would like to raise at County Council level – issues that might be to do with education, health and social care, roads and transport or social services, I will represent your voice on the County Council and work hard to resolve issues that are raised, making sure that funding is used well in Forest Row and Groombridge and all of the villages in our area. It will be my job to make sure you are heard.”

I will represent your voice on the County Council, it will be my job to make sure you are heard.

Georgia will support change to:

· Strengthen local health systems and public health so that lock downs are no longer used

· Work for secure incomes and thriving local businesses

· Protect our beautiful environment, especially the Ashdown Forest, and a clean River Medway; and support local sustainable and healthy food production

· Push for more funding for social care and social services

· Make our roads safe, and make it easier to travel without a car

· Develop low cost, quality, green, community-owned housing

At this time of climate emergency, Georgia will be a strong Green voice holding East Sussex County to account. She celebrates all efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and to make the structural changes needed to protect us and nature. Georgia will demand immediate action to bring our greenhouse emissions to zero by 2030, backed up by a credible action plan.
