Tony Lewin, Green Party Parish Councillor in Forest Row, has proposed installing public fresh water drinking stations around the village so people can use their own bottles.
Research by Refill found that three in five people would use a refillable bottle if taps were handy.
Already many people in Forest Row are keen to save on plastic. As Tony says, 'There are far too many plastic bottles lying around - this is an ideal solution.'
