Wealden Green Party are delighted to announce their candidate to represent the Arlington, East Hoathly and Hellingly division in the East Sussex County Council elections on May 6th.
Alison Wilson is a lawyer who has lived in Laughton for 14 years. She became a member of the Green Party in recent years because the climate crisis is the most pressing challenge facing us all and the Green Party is the only political party which campaigns consistently on this issue.
Alison believes that effective climate action can and indeed must be taken at a local level. As a councillor, Alison would be independent, speaking up about local issues and representing the interests of local people in the area where she lives.
She would work hard to promote a green recovery, to fight for better local education and social care services and to champion greener and safer transport in our rural areas.
